Build trust through web design and the user experience

Web design is a major source of trust.

Web design is another huge factor in building trust for your brand. Because your website is usually the first place people visit to learn about your business and services, it’s important that its design be appealing, user-friendly and look professional. The design of your website has a major impact on whether users will trust your company or not, so you want to make sure it looks great and is designed with the user experience in mind.

Building Trust Through Your Site Design

Mobile-friendly sites tend to rank higher in Google because they care about the user experience (UX).

Mobile-friendly sites tend to rank higher in Google because they care about the user experience (UX).

Google developed a way for you to test your site’s mobile usability, which determines if your site is responsive or not. If it is, chances are good that it will rank higher.

You can test how mobile-friendly your site is with Google's free mobile-friendly test.

To begin, [insert URL where test happens]. Click the button that says "Analyze," then fill in your website's URL and click "Run Test."

The page will load for a few seconds, then you'll be taken to the results. If your site is mobile-friendly, Google will tell you this. You'll also see how long it took your site to load on a mobile device. If there are issues with your site, these will be listed as well (for example, if the text on your page is too small). If you'd like more information about what needs to be fixed on your site to make it mobile-compatible, there are links you can click for more details. For example, clicking on "text too small" might take you to another section where you can read examples of text that are too small and the coding associated with them.

If Google tells you that your site isn't mobile-friendly after performing this test, don't panic—you can work with a web developer or design agency to fix whatever issues were found!

Building Trust Through Your Site Design

The main thing to consider when designing your website for mobile devices is accessibility, which you can achieve by creating a design that responds to the user's device.

When designing your website, it is important to remember that the needs of mobile users differ from desktop users. The context of how a user interacts with your site will also be different, so take note of how your design could adapt to the device without decreasing accessibility. The main thing to consider when designing your website for mobile devices is accessibility, which you can achieve by creating a design that responds to the user's device.

Desktop users are usually in an environment where they have time and focus to spare; they're not on-the-go like mobile users. Mobile devices generally have smaller screens, so you should organize information in a way that's easy for the reader to navigate through quickly. Users will more likely skim through content than read every word, so it's important that you prioritize clarity when writing copy for your web pages. If there are large blocks of text, consider breaking them up into smaller chunks instead. If there are images that don't add any value or meaning (like filler photos), it may be best to leave them out altogether and save space for something else instead.

Think about what common tasks you want visitors on a mobile device to perform when visiting specific pages on your site and make those tasks easy for them to do (and easy for them find). For example: if you run an online store, then having an accessible "Add To Cart" button would be key because it helps customers proceed with their purchase. Similarly, if they need help with something while browsing or shopping on their phones, having customer support readily available could also help increase conversions and sales.

Your website's page speed is also a huge factor in Google's search results.

Your website's page speed is also a huge factor in Google's search results.

Google has made it clear that page speed is one of the most important factors in their search algorithm, and if you want to rank highly in their results, you need to take measures to improve your site's loading time.

Navigation should also be optimized for mobile users, so that everything is easily accessible on any device.

  • Use menus and navigation bars that are easy to understand.
  • Make sure it is easy to find your contact information, such as a phone number or an email address.
  • Make sure it is easy to find your logo.
  • Make sure it is easy to find your search bar.
  • Make sure it is easy to find your social media links.

You should make it easy for users to find your contact information because this will help them find you on Google and build trust.

  • You should make it easy for users to find your contact information because this will help them find you on Google.
  • Contact information should be visible on every page, clearly visible in the header, footer, and/or sidebar.
  • A small text link saying "Contact Us" at the bottom of your website is insufficient. Make sure that you have a dedicated contact page that lists an email address, a physical address (if applicable), and a phone number (if applicable).
  • Your contact information should also be easy to read and follow so people can easily contact you if they need to ask questions or get help from your business or organization.

UX plays a huge role in building trust with users, so we need to approach it from every angle

The user experience is a major source of trust. If you want to build a website that builds trust with users, you need to go beyond SEO and consider the user experience.

To give you an idea of how important it is to have a good user experience, I’ll share some Google research findings:

  • More than 95% of users considered ease-of-use and aesthetics among the most important factors in determining if they trusted a website or not.
  • Among the top 10 reasons why people didn’t trust certain websites, six of them related to issues with the design and structure of the site.

As you can see, UX plays a huge role in building trust with users, so we need to approach it from every angle!
